  1. Timesheet Logging Just Got Faster

    Improvement
    Announcement

We've upgraded the timesheet experience in Everest to make logging work more flexible and significantly less repetitive.

    What's New?

Previously, you could create only one timesheet entry at a time for a selected Project, Job, and Milestone.

Now, you can add multiple timesheet entries in a single session.

    Log Different Activities Separately

Working on multiple tasks throughout the day?

You can now create multiple entries with their own:

    • Tags
    • Hours
    • Descriptions

All under the same Project, Job, and Milestone.

    Example

Instead of creating separate timesheets for:

    • Meeting → 1 hour
    • Frontend → 4 hours

You can now add all of them together in one go, each with its own tags, hours, and description.

    Why This Matters

    This update helps you:

    • Log time faster
    • Reduce repetitive form filling
    • Categorize work more accurately
    • Improve reporting through tags and detailed descriptions
    • Capture your day's work with fewer clicks

Whether you're switching between meetings, development, reviews, support, or testing, your timesheet can now reflect the reality of how work gets done throughout the day.

    Happy logging!

  2. Introducing the "Free" Job Type in Everest

    Announcement
    Improvement

Not every piece of work is tied directly to revenue — but it still matters.

To help teams track effort more accurately, we've introduced a new Job Type: Free.

    When should you use it?

Use Free jobs for work such as:

    • Post-live support
    • Internal initiatives and projects
    • Pre-sales activities
    • Research and discovery work
    • Any other non-billable effort

    Why this matters

Previously, teams often had to work around billability settings to log this type of work.

With the new Free job type, you can now accurately capture team effort and capacity while ensuring that these hours:

    • Do not impact revenue calculations
    • Do not affect project margins
    • Do not contribute to billability metrics
    • Remain visible for planning and utilization purposes

This gives us a clearer picture of where time is being invested across the organization.

    Job Form Simplification

As part of this update, we've removed the "Is Billable Required" field from the Job form.

The distinction is now much simpler:

    • Billable → Work tied to client delivery and revenue
    • Free → Non-billable work that still deserves to be tracked

No extra flags. No ambiguity. Just choose the appropriate job type and start logging.

    Better Visibility, Better Planning

The new Free job type helps us understand the complete picture of team effort — not just revenue-generating work, but also the support, innovation, and operational activities that keep everything moving forward.

  3. Project & Job Listings Have Been Simplified

    Announcement

As part of our ongoing effort to make Everest cleaner and easier to navigate, we've streamlined a few areas across Projects and Jobs.

    What's Changed?

    Simplified Global Listings

The following tabs have been removed from both Projects and Jobs global listings:

    • Me
    • My Team
    • All

Instead of switching between multiple tabs, listings are now driven directly by your access, role, and permissions, creating a more consistent experience across the platform.

    Project Dashboard Cleanup

We've also removed timesheet-related cards from the Project Dashboard.

Timesheet information continues to be available in its dedicated areas, while the Project Dashboard can now focus more on project execution, delivery, and operational insights.

    Why We Made These Changes

    These updates help:

    • Reduce navigation complexity
    • Eliminate duplicate views and filters
    • Keep dashboards focused on their primary purpose
    • Create a more consistent experience across Everest

Small changes like these help us keep Everest fast, focused, and easier to use as the platform continues to grow.

We now showcase average survey ratings across categories at:

    • Client level
    • Performance level

    Who can access these insights?

The new survey KPI visibility will be available for:

    • Job Coordinators (JC)
    • Account Managers (AM)

    This enables better understanding of:

    • Client satisfaction trends

    Account Managers can now:

    • Create surveys directly within Everest
    • Share survey links with clients via email
    • Submit surveys on behalf of clients when required
    • Manage and track survey responses centrally

  6. Client Portal is now live

    Announcement

We’re launching the new Client Portal in Everest to create a more collaborative and transparent experience for our clients.

What can clients do in the portal?

Clients will now be able to:

    • View surveys shared with them
    • Submit survey responses directly through the portal
    • View coordinators associated with their respective projects and jobs

    Why this matters

    The Client Portal helps:

    • Improve client visibility and communication
    • Provide a centralized collaboration experience
    • Reduce dependency on manual coordination
    • Make project interactions more transparent and accessible

This is another step toward making Everest a more connected platform for both internal teams and clients.

  7. Timesheet Reviewer Assignment is now live in Everest

    New Feature
    Announcement

We’re introducing a new update to the Timesheet Review flow in Everest to make approvals more structured and accountable.

    What’s changing?

From now onwards, every employee added to a job will have a dedicated Timesheet Reviewer assigned to them.

Only the assigned reviewer will be able to:

    • Review submitted timesheets
    • Approve or Unapprove logged hours
    • Manage review actions for that employee within the job

    This change helps us:

    • Create clearer ownership during approvals
    • Reduce confusion in review responsibilities
    • Improve accountability and review accuracy
    • Streamline the timesheet approval process

    Important Notes

    • Reviewer assignment will happen at the job team level
    • Users who are not assigned as reviewer for a particular employee will no longer be able to review their timesheets
    • Existing permissions remain unchanged outside the review flow

    Why are we doing this?

As projects and teams scale, having a dedicated reviewer system ensures:

    • Better review discipline
    • Faster approval cycles
    • Cleaner reporting and accountability tracking

  8. Performance KPIs are now live in Everest!

    Announcement
    New Feature

We’re rolling out a smarter and more connected KPI system in Everest — designed around organizational hierarchy, ownership, and team visibility.

To provide a cleaner and more focused experience, the new KPI dashboards are now available under:

    Performance > Overview

Instead of placing everything on the homepage, all performance-related insights now live in a dedicated space built specifically for KPI tracking and visibility.

    ✨ What’s included?

Depending on your role, you’ll now be able to track metrics such as:

    • Utilization
    • Logging Discipline
    • Business Generation
    • Client Retention
    • and more...

    Hierarchy-based KPI Visibility

KPIs in Everest now follow the organizational hierarchy.

For example, if you are a Project Coordinator (PC):

    • You’ll see your own KPIs
    • You’ll also get visibility into the KPIs of:

This creates better team-level visibility and helps leadership track overall operational performance more effectively.

    Coming Soon for Department Heads

We’ll soon be introducing department-level KPIs for Department Heads (DH), including:

    • Team Logging Discipline
    • Team Utilization
    • Team Approval Rate
    • and other organization-wide performance insights

    Why this matters

This update helps Everest move toward:

    • Better accountability
    • Smarter leadership visibility
    • More accurate performance tracking
    • Stronger operational insights across teams

Your performance data now has a dedicated home — built for clarity, scale, and better decision-making.

  9. New Updates to KPI & Finance Tracking in Everest

    Improvement
    Announcement

As Everest continues evolving into a more data-driven and performance-focused system, we’ve introduced a few new fields to improve how we track KPIs and business contribution.

These updates are designed to make reporting more accurate, meaningful, and future-ready.

    What’s New?

Budget Margin at Job Config Level

Jobs can now include a Budget Margin configuration.

    This will help us:

    • Better measure project profitability
    • Improve KPI calculations
    • Compare planned vs actual financial performance
    • Build more accurate operational insights

    “Attributed To” Field for Billables

Every billable can now be linked to the person who contributed to bringing that business in.

    Think of it as:

“Who helped make this billable happen?”

    This addition helps create:

    • Better ownership visibility
    • Cleaner revenue attribution
    • Stronger contribution-based KPI tracking
    • More transparent business impact metrics

    Why This Matters

Everest is gradually moving beyond just project and timesheet management. These updates help us build a stronger foundation for:

    • KPI dashboards
    • Performance analytics
    • Revenue insights
    • Financial reporting
    • Contribution tracking

    Small fields. Big impact.

  10. Timesheet Tags for Better Tracking & Visibility

    New Feature
    Improvement
    Announcement

To bring consistency in how work is categorized and analyzed, we’ve introduced the Timesheet Tags feature.

    Purpose:

    • Currently, milestones are being created based on individual understanding and reporting needs, leading to inconsistent analysis
    • To standardize this, we’ve introduced a master level Tag structure that enables uniform and accurate analysis across jobs and teams

    What’s new:

    • Assigning a tag while adding a timesheet log under a job is now mandatory
    • This ensures consistent and structured classification of work across all projects
    • You can filter logs via Timesheets → Employee → Filter by Tag for better analysis and reporting

    Migration update:

    • Tags have not been backfilled for past timesheet logs
    • We will gradually migrate tags for older timesheet logs

    Note:

    • If you do not find a relevant tag for your work, please contact the Everest team

This enhancement is a step towards standardized reporting, better visibility, and more reliable insights across the organization.

Let us know your feedback or if you face any issues.
