Milestones Are Now Required for Bucket Jobs

We’ve made an important update to Bucket jobs to give us better visibility into each delivery and the hours used to deliver it.
What's Changing?
Milestones are now mandatory for Bucket jobs.
Since Bucket engagements are prepaid, the client pays for the bucket upfront. What we need to track is how that prepaid balance is being used across actual deliveries.
How It Works
- Create a Milestone for each deliverable.
- Log your work against the relevant milestone.
- Once the deliverable is complete, close the milestone.
- While closing it, add the Billable Hours for that delivery.
- Done! ✅
Why This Matters
This gives us a clear connection between the hours redeemed from the bucket and the actual deliveries made.
We can now better understand:
- What has been delivered
- How many hours were spent on each delivery
- How many hours were billed/redeemed for each milestone
- How the prepaid bucket is being consumed
This also gives us the right data foundation for better billing and delivery insights going forward.
