Allocation Is Now Required for More Job Types
We've expanded allocation management in Everest to bring greater consistency across different job types.
Previously, allocations were mandatory only for Fixed jobs. Now, the same approach has been extended to:
- Hourly
- Dedicated
- Recurring
What's Changed?
For these job types, you'll now need to create department allocations before assigning team members.
Once allocations are in place, only employees from the allocated departments will be available to add to the job.
Why This Matters
This change helps ensure that the right teams are assigned from the very beginning by:
- Maintaining department-wise ownership
- Preventing accidental assignments from unrelated departments
- Improving resource allocation and reporting
- Creating a consistent workflow across all supported job types
A Consistent Experience
This behavior now matches what you've already experienced with Fixed jobs, making allocations a standard part of the job setup process across Everest.
As we continue enhancing resource planning and project management, this lays a stronger foundation for accurate staffing, reporting, and operational visibility.
